ACTIVITIES/OPEN GYMSixth Grade: Denise KurinecSeventh Grade: Carol Strom Students have access to both gyms and the cafeteria. The gyms are set up for activities such as ping-pong, basketball, and volleyball. The cafeteria offers after school snacks, raffle prizes, and bingo. Committee plans the activities, food, raffle prizes, and schedules volunteers. |

CULTURAL ARTSMary Arndt Maureen Bielawski Lori LeanePlans assemblies and programs for the students, which complement the school curriculum. Two of the programs from 2005-06 were a Civil War re-enactment for the eighth graders and sixth and seventh grade science classes were taught within a huge earth dome. |
DYNAMITE NIGHTTerry WolfeAn annual autumn event, new this year, two parties -- one for the sixth graders and the other for the seventh and eighth graders. It is an evening of games, prizes, music & dancing with a DJ, raffle prizes and pizza. The committee plans the party, hires vendors (DJ and carnival game service), purchases food items, and schedules volunteers. |
ENVIRONMENTLinda JohnstonEncourages student participation in the reducing of waste, recycling, and reusing goods. Sponsors special events related to environment. |
